70 year old childless cat lady Nebraska native now Texas resident here. For those who don't get it, a few bits of info:
1). Iowa women are having trouble finding doctors. Thanks to the abortion ban, obgyns are either leaving the state, retiring, or not coming to the state at all. A friend who lives there says her gynecologist shifted into a different practice area she is now in the hunt for a rellacement. She says it's virtually impossible to find a female physician.
2). Women of my generation grew up in the dark ages. We will NOT let our daughters, granddaughters, nieces, great-nieces, and daughters-in-law to be dragged back into it.
3). Donald Trump is like the man many women married who they finally kicked to the curb after putting up with him for a couple of decades.
4). I didn't realize until now how angry I am about spending my whole life being a well behaved good girl because that's what society demanded of us. JD Vance reminded us in spades of the crap we've put up with all our lives. I'm m guessing that other older women realized it too. And we are fine with it!
